The Prophet (SAW) told us about events that will lead up to the final hour. By knowing and understanding these events, we can better prepare, but also understand what is happening in the world today.
Below are some of what Prophet Muhammad (SAW) told us:
1-The final hour will not come to pass until two great parties fight each other and they are both Muslims.
2-The hour will not come to pass until there will be much AlHarj, when asked "what is AlHarj"? the Prophet (SAW) said "Killing! Killing!"
3-The hour will not come to pass until the murderer will not know why he committed the murder and the victim will not know why he has been killed
4-The hour will not come to pass until a fire comes out of Hijaz, and it will illuminate the necks of the camels in Basra
5-The Euphrates will soon give up its treasure of gold, so whoever is there at the time should not take any of it.
6-The hour will not come to pass until a man call AlJehjah becomes king
7-The hour will not come to pass until impostors & liars (about thirty) will claim to be a Messenger of God.
8-An enemy will assemble against the Muslims and the Muslims will also assemble, the Prophet (SAW) gestured to Al Sham (Syria)
9-A short legged Abyssinian will destroy the Ka'aba
10-Prophet Issa (AS) (Jesus) will decent in Al Sham (Syria)
11-There will be a great famine despite heavy rainfall
12-The arrival of Masih AlDajjal** (the false Messiah aka The Antichrist)
** Masih AlDajjal -The Prophet (SAW) said "No Prophet has ever been sent, who has not warned his followers of the One-eyed liar"
He will have a squinted left eye and his hair is heavy
He will have Paradise and Hellfire - His Paradise in Hellfire and his Hellfire is Paradise
He will have the word "Kafir" written on his forehead
The Dajjal will stay for forty (unknown if Days,Months or Years)
Prophet Issa (AS) (Jesus) will kill the Dajjal
The Dajjal will not be allowed entry to Makkah or Madina
Whoever memorises the 1st ten verses of Surat AlKahf is protected from his fitna
